Q) What is Ghostly Legends of the Appalachian Trail about?

A) It's about ghost stories around the Appalachian Trail (A.T.), a footpath that spans over 2,000 miles from Maine to Georgia. Some of the stories are based on research as reported by visitors to the trail, and other stories are legends that Tristan hopes will spook you! Tristan loved writing this book because she likes being outdoors and hiking. Geography and history facts about the A.T. are also written into the book. Tristan wanted to stay true to the trail and its amazing past and the people who shaped that past.

Q) How can I order Ghostly Legends of the Appalachian Trail?

A) The book may be ordered through Quixote Press (1-800-571-2665), your local bookstore, or purchase at gift shops near the Appalachian Trail and Blue Ridge Parkway. The book’s ISBN# is: 1-57166-498-X.

Q) Is Tristan currently writing another ghost story book for Quixote Press?

A) YES! The author is working on a second Ghostly Legends book. Quixote Press hopes to create an entire ghost story series related to the various National Parks in the United States. Tristan is calling this the “Ghostly Legends” series. Since Tristan and her family have visited a lot of the National Parks and feels strongly in preserving them, she’s excited about this opportunity.

Q) Why did the author decide to write about a ghost story book? That’s a switch from the Furry Tails series.

A) Tristan decided to write Ghostly Legends of the Appalachian Trail because she is interested in the geography and history of the trail. Tristan is also a southern gal. Writing about the trail seemed the perfect opportunity to remain true to her southern roots since a portion of the trail is located in the southeastern United States. Besides, who doesn’t like a good scare?

Q) Has Tristan written other books?

A) YES! She is the author of the Furry Tails children’s chapter-book series. The second installment in the Furry Tails series will be released in 2009. Also, Tristan's dissertation studies, conducted through Virginia Tech, were printed as a scientific book in February 2008! The book is about Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and occupational stress. VDM Verlag Dr. Mueller is the German publishing company releasing her research work.
