The Appalachian National Scenic Trail is approximately a 2,175-mile continuous path traversing through fourteen states: Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York,
Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. It winds its way through various national parks and forests, as well as a myriad of state parks.
